I had a broken gas fire for 12 months. Of course- I phoned up and a bloke came out to look at it. He said "That`s dangerous Luv- it`s fucked. I can`t fix it. I`ll have to cap it off." And Lo- He cut the pipes and sealed it, promising to return with a shiny new one. I phoned again- and a different bloke arrived. "That`s fucked, Luv. I can`t fix that- it`s been capped-off". And so it went on... That year I met the entire local gas dept. team. And one by one they told me "It`s fucked, Luv. I can`t fix that." A year later- shivering and hysterical- They finally found the mystical lost paperwork. And I got my shiny new fire. I don`t find Dave to be that Cynical. Sometimes the idea of curling up in someones warm closet, is quite appealing.
